Botox Injection Migraines

Botox is the brand name for the very popular cosmetic treatment and is a neuro-toxin which comes from the bacterium Clostridium Botulinum also known as the cause of the disease Botulism. Though Botox injections do not offer a permanent cosmetic surgery solution to eradicating wrinkles, they do provide a possible solution for anyone dealing with an aging and wrinkling face. The areas most commonly used for a Botox cosmetic treatment are the forehead where it makes the lines disappear. Considering how straightforward the procedure is the results are impressive leading to a much more youthful look for the recipient as the wrinkles associated with age are reduced. The whole procedure is quick in addition to simple and most recipients have their Botox treatments completed in less than a quarter of an hour, depending on the areas treated. Results after Botox injections can be seen within a few days so lines around the eyes, mouth and forehead are visibly reduced.

When a person is given a Botox injection, the neuro-toxin paralyses the muscles that control lines around the eyes and forehead for example so that there is little or no movement from them. Unfortunately the Botox neuro-toxin muscle paralysis is only temporary and regular Botox cosmetic treatments are necessary and for many, multiple treatments will be required for optimum effect. You will probably have some swelling, numbness and bruising in the area where the Botox injections or Botox cream were used; this is quite normal but recovery time is usually very short.

There are very few Botox side effects so this procedure and is one of the safest available for reduction of wrinkles. Usually to help alleviate some of the swelling and possible discomfort, ice is used before and after the procedure. Botox cosmetic treatments relax the muscles when and paralyses them so that the lines that are normally seen around the eyes mouth and forehead gradually fade away.

Botox Injection Migraines...

For individuals who suffer with acne, scarring, Botox injections are administered to help relieve the effects or to help soften old skin. Many film and television stars regularly have Botox cosmetic treatments but it should be remembered that plastic surgery isn’t just about personal vanity. Having said that, it is often more likely that men will opt for many of these non-invasive cosmetic procedures such as collagen injections, Botox injections and chemical peels.

Botox is a not only a purified protein used in cosmetic surgery but a prescription drug. It would be unfair not to include the results of studies which show that Botox can help in reducing the effects of migraine headaches, profuse sweating problems and those that suffer muscle spasms around the eyes and neck. One of the only times when it cannot be used is when a woman is expecting a child or is breast feeding. The one fault with Botox injections is that the more frequently they are used, the longer the period is before they can be given again as the effect it has is to cause the muscles to atrophy and a greater time is needed for them to recover. In the USA each year over one million Botox cosmetic treatments will be performed, making it the number one aesthetic cosmetic procedure in America.
